"Rain" is a beautiful, babydoll mare with the sweetest disposition in the world! We purchased her from a breeder in Montana who owned her since she was a foal. Unfortunately she was not broke to ride, but her potential, and the potential she passes to her foals, is endless! She is small, but stout! She has a balanced hip, strong back, feminine head and neck with excellent feet and bone structure.
In addition to her striking good looks, her pedigree is what dreams are made of. She is by a strong performing son of Shining Spark. Shining Spark is one of our favorite stallions to have on a pedigree. He is known as one of the greatest broodmare sires in AQHA history and he adds a lot of value to Rain and what her foals will inherit from her. Shining Spark was an AQHA World Champion and an NRHA Derby Champion.
Rain also possesses an incredibly strong dams side with her mother being a daughter of High Brow Hickory. High Brow Hickory was an accomplished show horse and he is also the sire of the all time leading producer in AQHA History: High Brow Cat. To finish strong, Rain's second dam is a daughter of the legendary Doc Olena!
Her personality, color, conformation and pedigree make her as close to perfect as one can get! Her first foal for us was a smart and sweet filly whose talent exceeded our expectations! We look forward to growing our relationship with Rain and nurturing many more foals that she produces.
She's expecting in 2024!
The Magic Cross
Rain and Holidoc will either produce a Black, Grulla, Bay, Bay Dun, Red Dun or Sorrel. There is a strong possibility for a Homozygous Dun and/or Homozygous Black! We can't wait to see this cross come together.
