Ricky has a great handle with a pretty trot, smooth lope, and a big stop. If you need a horse to go to the pasture with and get some work done, Ricky is your guy! He is a finished ranch horse who is ready for any job with a great work ethic and willingness to go all day long. He is fun to rope on in the branding pen, and will walk out with leisure checking pastures, but has the speed to run down a calf. Ricky does best with a confident rider as he can act tight with lots of time off. He will flex and work right out of it and be ready for a day of ranching.

He has been used as a heel horse and is lightly started in the breakaway. It won't take long to finish him in the arena and you will have an outstanding horse to haul to the ropings on the weekend.

Ricky bathes, shoes, loads, and hauls with no problem. His teeth were floated in the spring of 2023 and he is up to date on vaccinations and farrier work.
