"Stevie" is the best broodmare. She is a beautiful sooty palomino with a silver mane and tail, a textbook Quarter Horse build with good muscling and correct conformation, a refined neck and head, good feet, and an independent personality. Stevie has many greats and NCHA money earners on her papers including Playgun (LTE $168,408 and PE in excess of $9 Million), Peppy San Badger (LTE $172,710 and PE in excess of $25 Million), and Rum Squall (LTE $66,969). She repeatedly throws color, a strong hip, good size, and gentle, trainable babies. She has been bred both AI and live cover, takes on the first cycle, and has maintained healthy pregnancies without the use of additional hormones. She was confirmed in foal with a heartbeat at 35 days and is due the middle of May. She is bred to a son of Reyzin the Cash (LTE $278,381 and PE in excess of $4 Million) and out of Mary Has Freckles (LTE $59,752). Stevie foals easily without help, is a strong milk producer, and a wonderful mother. She lets you handle her babies safely, but is very protective of them against stray animals, predators, etc. She is also watchful of the other foals in the pasture, and she is regularly the 'babysitter' broodmare that hangs with the group of foals while the other mares graze. She gets along great in a herd and is uncomplicated. She does prefer foaling in a pen or pasture to a stall. She will weave if left alone in a stall.

Stevie would make a great ranch broodmare with her low maintenance needs and ability to protect her foals from outside threats. She is easy and safe to handle, hauls, ties, bathes, clips, is good for the farrier, etc. She is sound to ride with no maintenance or restrictions and has been ridden in the past, but it has been quite some time, so she is being sold as a broodmare.
