"Melman" is a 4-year-old gelding standing at 15.1 hands. With his gentle demeanor and kind eye, he’s safe for riders of all experience levels. He has been used around the ranch as well as in the arena. Just point him in any direction and off you go! We’ve used him for dragging calves to the pot, doctoring cattle outside, and he has been used for calving. Whether you’re looking for a casual trail ride or a performance horse, he can handle it all. Melman has a strong desire to stop sharply and can turn in a beautiful circle with a foot firmly planted. He responds to any speed you request and has one of the smoothest lopes in the pasture. We’ve started heading on him, and he’s quickly become a blast to run steers on. Melman shows expression when working with cattle and will watch one for sorting.
