"Poppy" is a very kind, stoic mare who is great to ride or breed. She is stout with good bone, big feet, and great conformation. She has been bred both AI and live cover, takes on the first cycle, and has maintained healthy pregnancies without the use of additional hormones. She was confirmed in foal with a heartbeat at 65 days and is due the middle of April. She is bred to a son of Reyzin the Cash (LTE $278,381 and PE in excess of $4 Million) and out of Mary Has Freckles (LTE $59,752). Poppy foals easily without help, is a strong milk producer, and a wonderful mother. She lets you handle her babies safely, but is very protective of them against stray animals, predators, etc.

She is an easy ride and can sit in the pasture and then come back to work. She is very pasture savvy and would quickly pick up being a using a horse on a ranch, or would make a great ranch broodmare with her low maintenance needs and ability to protect her foals from outside threats. She easy and safe to handle, hauls, ties, bathes, clips, is good for the farrier, etc. She is a very special mare to me, and I would love for her to be that for someone else, as well.



Blemishes: Cosmetic scar on left front pastern, does not affect soundness or require anything. Cloudiness in right eye from an old scratch, still has vision in that eye, does not require anything, not genetic, has not gotten worse in nearly 6 years of owning.
